This Switch Hauler® has a built in 3 1/4" drop. Many trucks have the hitch receiver very close to the tail gate. With the built in drop, the top of the Station Post is lower and in most cases allows you to lower the tail gate when the lifting post is in the down position. If you're out at the at the track with your motorcycle, it's a lot easier to get to your gear in the back of the truck without removing the Switch Hauler from the receiver. Or maybe you just want to sit on the tail gate and rest for a while. In addition to the 3 1/4" built in drop, The Connection Clip bolts to the Rack offering you 2 positions for initial setup. The top position, the rack will come down to about 3" lower than the bottom of the receiver box, the lower position is about 5" lower.

Slide this into your class III or better hitch receiver and you've got the beginnings of a great system. With a capacity of 335 pounds on the platform you can expand your system to be able to haul all kinds of things, whether it be a lawn mower, a snow blower, a generator, or just extra luggage.
